Women's Volleyball Steamrolls Emmanuel, 3-0

DANBURY, CT – After an undefeated run while hosting the Colonial Invitational over the weekend, the Western Connecticut women's volleyball team steamrolled visiting non-league foe Emmanuel College, 3-0, Tuesday night at Feldman Arena. Colonial senior outside hitter Karissa Smith (Bristol, CT) notched a match-high 11 kills, while classmate setter Danielle Kaminsky (Southington, CT) dished out 24 assists.

The hosts broke the ice with a 24-15 win in the opening game. They earned yet another 24-15 win in game two before concluding the night with a 25-18 win to earn the shutout.

Rookie outside hitter Alyssa Dam (Poughkeepsie, NY) added six kills, while senior Cady Cordes (Fallon, NV) and sophomore Kamari King (East Hartford, CT) added five kills apiece for the Colonials.

With the win, Western improved to 4-1 overall while the Saints dropped to 0-1. The Colonials return to action Saturday at Noon against Worcester State at the Wesleyan Tournament.
