Western volleyball claims a pair of 3-0 wins over Regis and Daniel Webster

NASHUA, NH – The Western Connecticut State University volleyball team collected a pair of 3-0 victories Friday evening by first defeating Regis College and following that with a win over Daniel Webster. 

Junior Karissa Smith (Bristol, CT) and sophomore Brittany Steele (Massapequa, NY) led the Western hitting attack with 19 kills each on the day, followed junior Jacqueline Kanuk (New Fairfield, CT) with 16 kills.

Junior Danielle Kaminsky (Southington, CT) handed out 62 assists, while on the defensive end, freshman Jenna Pisano (Orange, CT) led with 25 digs. 

With the sweep on the day, Western's season record improves to 13-8.  The Colonials return to action on Saturday at the Live Free or Die Tournament with a pair of matches.  First up is Bridgewater State at 11:00am followed by Rivier at 2:00pm.
