    DANBURY, CT – Sophomore forward Lindsay Bouscaren (Cambridge, MA) tallied the lone goal of the game as the third-seeded UMass-Boston women’s soccer squad downed second-seeded Eastern Connecticut State University, 1-0, in the Little East Conference Tournament semifinal round on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Beacons improved to 14-6-1 overall and advanced to the championship game on Saturday at Noon. They will square up against top-seeded host Western Connecticut who downed No. 4 Southern Maine, 2-0, in the other semifinal matchup. Eastern’s season came to a conclusion at 11-7.

    DANBURY, CT – Rookie Kaleigh Panek (Shelton, CT) and senior Allison Oakley (Beekman, NY) each tallied goals to lead the Western Connecticut State University women’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over visiting Little East Conference opponent Plymouth State University in the regular season finale for both squads on Friday night at the Westside Athletic Complex. With the victory, the Colonials finished the slate at 12-8 overall and 6-2 in league play, securing the top spot in the LEC Postseason Tournament which begins on Tuesday. The Panthers season came to an end at 6-8-2 and 2-6.

In her first start, rookie goalkeeper Karly Martin (Bristol, CT) recorded seven saves en route to the shutout for the Colonials.
