Allers & Chapman Capture Doubles Nailbiter as Women’s Tennis Falls to RPI, 8-1

NORTH SALEM, NY – Senior captain Carole Allers (Wilton, CT) and junior Emma Chapman (Danbury, CT) combined to win a doubles tiebreaker, 9-8, but it wasn't enough as the WestConn women's tennis team fell to Rensselear at the LakeSide Club in North Salem on Sunday. With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 1-11 overall, while the Engineers improved to 2-1.

"We knew RPI was most going to be the strongest team we faced this season and they proved it today. Carole and Emma played their best doubles of the season and had an exciting win. I'm very proud of them," said WestConn head coach Shawn Stillman following the match.

WestConn returns to action for the fourth day in a row when they host St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m.
