Senior Carol Allers (Wilton, CT) and junior Emma Chapman (Danbury, CT) suffered their first defeat of the season in doubles action for the Colonials.

    DANBURY, CT – Senior Carole Allers (Wilton, CT) improved to 6-0 overall in combined singles and doubles play as the Western Connecticut State University women’s tennis team downed visiting Little East Conference foe Castleton University, 6-3, on a scorching Saturday afternoon at the Westside Courts. With the win, the Colonials improved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Spartans dropped to 2-2 and 0-1.

    NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Senior Carole Allers (Wilton, CT) captured a pair of victories, at second singles and top-flight doubles, along with Emma Chapman (Danbury, CT), but the Western Connecticut State University women's tennis team were edged out, 5-4 in its season opener at Mount St. Mary College on Thursday night.
