    DANBURY, CT – The Western Connecticut State University women’s tennis team edged visiting non-conference opponent St. Joseph (Conn.), 5-4, on Wednesday evening at Westside Courts. With the nailbiting win, the Colonials concluded the season at 3-13 overall, while the Bluejays dropped to 2-8.

    BOSTON, MA - Senior Carole Allers (Wilton, CT), junior Emma Chapman (Danbury, CT) and classmate Pooja Dudhedia (Brookfield, CT) each notched wins but it wasn't enough as the Western Connecticut State University women's tennis team fell to UMass-Boston, 5-4, in a rain delayed match that ended late Saturday night.

    PROVIDENCE, RI – Despite singles and doubles victories from senior Carole Allers (Wilton, CT) and junior Emma Chapman (Danbury, CT), the Western Connecticut State University women’s tennis squad fell at undefeated Little East Conference nemesis Rhode Island College, 6-3, on Friday night at the RIC Tennis Center. With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 2-12 overall and 1-7 in league play, while the Anchorwomen improved to 13-0 and 7-0, extending their regular season winning streak to 35 matches.

    NEW YORK, NY – Juniors Gabriella Orsini (Watertown, CT) and Chelsie Von Elm (Somers, NY) each captured their first career singles victories as the Western Connecticut State University women’s tennis squad downed host John Jay College on Tuesday night. With the win, the Colonials improved to 2-11 overall.

After seeing there doubles win streak end against UMD, the pair rebounded to win the No. 1 doubles slot, 9-7, while each winning their respective singles matches.
