  • Swimming and Diving Season Concludes At NEISDA Championships

    CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Western Connecticut State University men's and women's swimming and diving wrapped up the season at the four-day New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving championships.  On the men’s side 10 individual, four relay school records were re-established and two individual records, One relay school records were set for the first time, making a total of 17 records set.
  • Worden and Lawrence Claim Honors as Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Continues NEISDA Championships

    BOSTON, MA - Rookies Drew Worden (Warren, CT) and David Lawrence (Newtown, CT) each claimed All-NEISDA honors as the Western Connecticut State University men's and women's swimming and diving squads continued competition at the NEISDA Championships for the third consecutive day on Saturday. The Colonials return to the pool for the final day of competition on Sunday morning.

    DANBURY, CT – Despite a trio of winning race performances and a top spot team finish from rookie Hope Johnsky (Bristol, CT), the Western Connecticut State University women’s swimming and diving squad fell to visiting Westfield State, 136-117, closing out the regular season home schedule for the Colonials. They return to action at the Little East Conference Championships hosted by UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday, February 9 at Noon.

  • WestConn Men's and Women's Swimming Named To CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

    COLORADO SPRING, CO - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected a record 713 teams from 460 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2018 semester.  The Western Connecticut State University men's and women's teams, under the tutelage of Jill Cook, is among those honored on Tuesday.  The Colonials have a 3.20 team cumulative grade point average, through the fall semester.
  • Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Squads Cruise Past New Rochelle

    DANBURY, CT – Rookie David Lawrence (Newtown, CT) won three events to pace the men, while classmates Hope Johnsky (Bristol, CT) and Molly Henry (Pound Ridge, NY) each notched a pair of first place showings to lead the women as the Western Connecticut State University swimming and diving squads cruised past the visiting College of New Rochelle on Saturday. The men finished ahead, 109-72, while the women also came out on top, 103-81.

    SMITHFIELD, RI - Rookie Molly Henry (Pound Ridge, NY) won three events to lead the Western Connecticut State University women's swimming team past Rhode Island College, 96-90, at Bryant University on Thursday evening. The Colonials return to action when they host New Rochelle on Saturday at 11 a.m.

    CASTINE, ME - The Western Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team split it tri-meet on Wednesday, defeating host Maine Maritime Academy, 107-55 and falling to Plymouth State University, 115-82 at Bok Pool. The Colonials' men's side fell to the Mariners, 92-81.

    DANBURY, CT – The Western Connecticut State University men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads squared off against visiting Fairleigh Dickinson University on Saturday afternoon. The women came away with a 113-47 win, while the men were downed, 113-80.
