    DARTMOUTH, Mass. --  Senior Chauncey Allers (Wilton, Conn.) and sophomore Matthew Carino (Sandy Hook, Conn.) combined for Western Connecticut State University’s lone point of the day, as the duo posted an 8-4 victory at number two doubles, as it fell to host University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, 5-1, in the Little East Conference Men's Tennis Championship quarterfinals on Tuesday afternoon on the UMD Courts.

    MIDDLEBURY, CT – The Western Connecticut State University men’s tennis team lost a breathtaking 6-3 decision to visiting Little East Conference nemesis Salem State on Saturday at the Middlebury Racquet Club. With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 3-11 overall and 3-4 in league play, while the Vikings improved to 8-4 and 6-1.

    PORTLAND, ME – Sophomore William Hogan (Ridgefield, CT) notched a 7-5, 6-2 singles win, while classmate Matthew Carino (Sandy Hook, CT) would follow suit with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, before senior Chauncey Allers (Wilton, CT) notched a 6-1, 6-0 win in the third singles slot. The wins propelled the Western Connecticut State University men’s tennis team to a 6-3 victory at the University of Southern Maine in a Little East Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

    PAWTUCKET, RI - It really does not matter if that rodent in Pennsylvania saw his shadow or not, the spring athletic season is right around the corner!  The Little East Conference released the 2019 Pre-Season Coaches' Polls for five sports this week.
