PAWTUCKET, RI - Western Connecticut State University soccer is well represented in this Little East Conference weekly honors as women's senior forward Autumn Sorice (Bethel, CT), freshman goalie Alexis Lainchbury (Hopewell Junction, NY), men's forward Chauncey Allers (Wilton, CT) and men's midfielder Robert Della Penna (Suffield, CT) garnered weekly honors on Monday.
 
WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Autumn Sorice (Bethel, Conn.), Senior, Western Connecticut
 
Autumn Sorice totaled three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Colonials as she earned LEC Offensive Player of the Week honor for the second time in three weeks. Sorice scored two goals and assisted on another in a 4-0 win over SUNY New Paltz before scoring one goal with one helper in a 3-2 LEC win over Rhode Island College.

Alexis Lainchbury stopped each of the seven shots on goal she faced in a 4-0 non-conference victory over SUNY New Paltz. This marks her first LEC Rookie of the Week honor this season.
 
MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Robert Della Penna (Suffield, Conn.), Junior, Western Connecticut
 
Robert Della Penna scored one goal and assisted on two others while anchoring a defense the posted three shutout victories last week. He scored one goal with one helper in a 4-0 win over Albertus Magnus and scored a goal in a 3-0 win over John Jay. He also helped lead the Colonials to a 1-0 LEC win over Rhode Island College.
 
MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Chauncey Allers (Wilton, Conn.), Junior, Western Connecticut
 
Chauncey Allers totaled three goals and two assists for eight points in a 3-0 week for the Colonials. He opened the week by setting up two goals in a 4-0 win over Albertus Magnus, scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 win over John Jay, and capped the week by scoring the only goal of the match in a 1-0 LEC victory over Rhode Island College.
