CHICOPEE, MA – The Western Connecticut State University men's basketball team returned from the Thanksgiving break and rolled to an 87-65 victory at non-conference opponent Elms College on Monday night. With the win, the Colonials improved to 3-2 overall while the Blazers fell to 0-6.
WestConn shot a red-hot 34-of-61 (55.7%) from the field and forced 26 turnovers, while coughing it up just 15 times. They also outmuscled Elms in the paint by a margin of 54-12.
Junior guard Ronald Jefferson (Brooklyn, NY) tallied a team-high 17 points, while classmate forward Fenton Bradley Jr. (Mansfield, CT) and sophomore guard Shea Tracy (New Britain, CT) added 14 and 11, respectively, for the Colonials.
