What is HERO of the Week?
HERO of the Week is our national award program that recognizes the best individual performances of the week in each division of several NCAA Sports. Nominees are posted at the beginning of each week and a fan vote determines the winner.
How are players selected?
HERO of the Week candidates are selected by our writers from nominations sent in by fans, coaches, and sports information departments (see next question). Our writers evaluate game scores and stats, and select the players with the best performances each week to include in the polls.
How do I nominate a HERO of the Week candidate?
Nominating a player is easy! Send an email with the player's name, a brief description of their exemplary game, and a link to the box score to firstname.lastname@example.org.
When are the winners announced?
We announce the results each Friday morning, shortly after polls close at 10 a.m. Pacific, with a custom graphic for each winner and an entry in our HERO of the Week Awards Page.
How often can I vote for my HERO of the Week candidate?
Our poll system places limits on the number of votes a single IP address can submit. The number of votes allowed per day will be listed in the introduction of the article. We have allowed one per hour or one per day at different times.
