DANBURY, CT - The Western Connecticut State University Athletic Department, in partnership with PrestoSports, is proud to announce the redesign of its Athletic's website.
"We are very excited to launch one of the last pieces of our new brand which is our website," said WestConn Director of Athletics and Recreational Sports Lori R. Mazza. "We enhanced the experience of the site, making it more user friendly and a site that will better inform and attract our fans, friends, students, prospective students, alumni and all of our constituents."
WestConn continues its partnership with PrestoSports, which began in May of 2011. The new website will feature much of the same content previously available to Colonials fans; including news, statistics, schedules, biographies and historical information. Numerous changes the fans will notice begin with WestConn's new branding campaign, which was release a week ago, its new color scheme and a sharper, more exciting presentation.
Along with the new design, comes a new URL. WestConn Athletics can now be found at www.westconnathletics.com. Returning visitors will automatically be directed to the new landing, but be sure to bookmark the new address today.
The redesigned site will continue to serve as an all-access area for fans to find information on their favorite teams and student-athletes. The website continues to feature content for all 18 WestConn athletic programs, four of which begin intercollegiate competition in September and now the school's Recreation, Clubs and Intramurals.
Additional changes include a refreshed social media module, all-inclusive apparel store (coming soon), recognition of athletics sponsors and much much more.
"I want to thank Associate AD/Sports Information Director Scott Ames for spearheading this project along with our website committee for their work on this project," added Mazza.
WestConn embarks on the 2018-19 season on Friday, August 31 with field hockey hosting Regis College, men's soccer welcoming Vassar College, women's volleyball hosting the two-day Colonial Classic and women's soccer on the road at the RPI Tournament, in Troy, NY.
